Online Training in Career and Technical Education - An Electric Strategy

This session will present a brief overview of American Technical Publishers (ATP) approach to online learning and describe our experience working with the Independent Electrical Contractors (IEC), an electrical trade organization with an electrical apprenticeship training program. I will present the experience as an abridged case study describing the challenges of online training in a CTE discipline. I will begin describing when we began exploring online training strategies, the crash course of maintaining training momentum during COVID-19, then describe the continuing efforts to leverage BBB and other online training strategies to meet apprentices where they are and provide effective training for a traditionally hands-on discipline.
